What does URL Shortener Expander do?

Follows redirects to show the final destination URL of a shortened link. Useful for bit.ly, t.co, tinyurl.com, etc.

What is it used for?

  • Safety: See where a short link goes before clicking
  • Debugging: Verify redirect chains
  • Analytics: Resolve short URLs to full URLs

How it works

Uses fetch with redirect: follow. The final URL is in response.url. Some shorteners may block CORS (cross-origin), so expansion may fail for those.
